Description
Wilson Pickett & The Midnight Movers, live from Konserthuset, Stockholm, Sweden February 10th 1969 (2nd Show).
Following earlier collaborations with producers Tom Dowd and Tommy Cogbill, recording songs with Bobby Womack and releasing hits Jealous Love, I've Come A Long Way and I'm In Love, Pickett returned to Fame Studios where he worked with a band featuring Guitarist Duane Allman and Bassist Jerry Jemmott. These Fame sessions resulted in the cover of Hey Jude (the Beatles), as well as minor hits Mini Skirt and Hey Joe (Jimi Hendrix). This live performance from Konserthest, Stockholm, Sweden on February 10th 1969 - broadcast by Sveriges radio - demonstrates the fruits of Pickett's earlier graft, which now doubt propelled him to later success.
