Sophie Milman's new album has been three years in the making. Her self-titled debut, with sales approaching 100K worldwide, topped the iTunes Jazz album charts in the USA, Canada, France, Sweden and Japan. She has performed across Canada, USA, Japan, and recently held shows in Berlin, Paris and Londo, all during breaks in her school year as remarkably, Sophie is still a full time University student. Her growth and individuality are evident after one listen to this new release. Recorded over two months in Toronto with producer Steve MacKinnon (Serena Ryder, Molly Johnson), it includes jazz covers of the classic Guess Who track "Undun" (featuring Randy Bachman on guitar), Stevie Wonder's "Rocket Love", fan favourite "(It's Not Easy) Bein' Green", and displays an artist coming into her own, destined for international stardom. -
