Although New York and Chicago have long been regarded by Jazz enthusiasts as the joint capitals of the Jazz world, there was a great amount of quality Jazz being played and recorded in locations far removed from both of these, even in the earliest days. The 1924 and 1925 recording found here are from New Orleans and feature 9 tracks from JOHNNY DE DROIT AND THE NEW ORLEANS JAZZ ORCHESTRA and 14 tracks from the ORGINAL CRESCENT CITY JAZZERS / ARCADIAN SERENADERS.
