Description
Step into a cosmic crossroads where psychedelic rock meets freewheeling jazz, blues and soul! Captured live at Boston's legendary Symphony Hall on January 26, 1972, and broadcast on WBCN-FM's airwaves, this broadcast featuring Jerry Garcia, keyboard wizard Howard Wales and friends offers a fascinating glimpse into one of the most adventurous musical partnerships of the era.
Best known for his otherworldly guitar work with the Grateful Dead, Garcia was never one to colour inside the lines. Paired with Wales's exploratory keyboards, he ventured into a wonderfully unpredictable musical landscape where grooves stretch, melodies twist and improvisation takes the wheel. The result is a heady blend of spontaneous creativity and exploratory musicianship that captures the anything-can-happen spirit of early-'70s counterculture.
For Deadheads, jazz-rock enthusiasts and collectors of vintage radio broadcasts, it's a compelling addition to any collection.
