Description
Gustvao Pazos Conde is a very skilled and sensitive guitarist, His first solo-album, 'Caraguatá' (S62614) was the expression of a world of feelings, emotions, landscapes and never written stories. 'Estacion Eden' walks the same path and once again converges past and present through his vision of several musical traditions of the Gaucho from Uruguay and Argentina.
Besides his own work, he included three composers closely related to his own musical world: Antonio Pereira Arias (Uruguay), Abel Fleury (Argentina) and Mariano Melgar. The latter (Perú, 1790-1815) was one of the most important exponents of the Peruvian yaravÃ, which is the source of several musical forms of the Gaucho traditions.
"Quietly intense, rippling with fragile minor chords and unafraid of silence." - Songlines (on Caraguatá)
