'Exceptionally talented' brothers, Joe and Will Sartin, perform as Patakas (pronounced pa : tak : us), a new duo bursting on to the English folk scene. Together they bring driving rhythms and innovative harmony to fresh interpretations of tunes and songs, including those of their own composition.
This debut EP 'When You're Ready' was made during the 6 months after their well-loved father and esteemed folk musician, Paul Sartin, passed away. With Joe's sublime voice and guitar playing and Will's dexterous mandolin, the brothers beautifully and skilfully express the music-making and folk tradition that run through the very core of their family.

Joe is already showing himself to be a confident, beautiful singer with a strong traditional repertoire that owes much to his upbringing. Will is an incredibly dexterous mandolin player with the superb ceilidh band, Out of Hand.'
