Over the last ten years guitarist Nigel Price and tenor saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos have established a strong musical partnership through their shared stylistic and artistic connections.
With this album 'Sidekicks', featuring the legendary Steve Brown on drums and one of the busiest double bass players in town, Dario Di Lecce, this new band pays homage to some of the greatest guitar/saxophone collaborations in jazz.
These include Jim Hall/Sonny Rollins, Wes Montgomery/Johnny Griffin, Kenny Burrell/Stanley Turrentine and from the UK jazz scene Dave Cliff/Geoff Simkins and Morrissey/Mullen.
