Description
'I'm Still Me' is the new solo album from Kidd aka multi-instrumentalist songwriter Stu Kidd (The Wellgreen, Doctor Cosmo's Tape Lab). Recorded at Fuzzface Studios in Ayrshire under the expertise of producer Jason Shaw, the album was then mastered by Paul McGeechan (Friends Again, Love & Money) and released by independent label Last Night From Glasgow.
'I'm Still Me' is both ambitious and restrained, building new material from demos and fragments of songs written in the past. Stu plays everything on the record, and the goal was to record a song a day and use each day to the very fullest. The album is largely influenced by Stu's declining mental health during the Covid lockdowns, with tracks inspired by disturbing dreams, nostalgic memories, sci-fi films and fictional tales. Stu Kidd is also a visual artist and created the album artwork for 'I'm Still Me'. The album is released on marbled vinyl pressed locally at Seabass Vinyl in Scotland.
