Description
Renowned for fusing classical disciplines, intense improvisational synergy, and traditional Balkan irregular time signatures, Acoustic Version's signature artistic chemistry is perfectly captured on their highly regarded album Time In Time Out, was released internationally by ICSM Records on CD and now, for the first time, on 180g audiophile vinyl. This landmark record displays the trio's deep musical empathy across tracks like Lucky 13, To Bill , Apollonia, and Mish Mash, solidifying their reputation as a cornerstone "trademark" of the European contemporary jazz scene.
Bulgarian jazz ensemble Acoustic Version started out in 1985 as a duo featuring pianist Antoni Donchev and drummer/vibraphonist Hristo Yotsov, instantly achieving a "flying start" by winning first prize at the Hoeilaart contest in Belgium (1985) and the Grand Prix at the Leverkusen Jazz Festival in Germany (1986). The group expanded into a trio in 1989 when Antoni's brother, double bassist George Donchev, officially joined, though the ensemble has maintained its legendary status over the decades by collaborating with a revolving door of premier bassists, including Petar Slavov Jr. and Kalina Andreeva.
Available on 180g vinyl pressed at Vinyl De Paris, France. Originally mastered by Tony Faulkner.
