Description
Glasgow and London-based four-piece Azamiah (India Blue, Josef Akin, Norman Villeroux and Alex Palmer) blend UK jazz, nu-soul and spiritual jazz with contemporary production - drawing influence from artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, James Blake and Makaya McCraven. Following their debut In Phases and Two Lands EP, Heartbeat reflects the group's evolving collective chemistry and shared musical language.
Led by India Blue's expressive vocals and songwriting, the album explores connection, loss, stillness and inner power through a warm, atmospheric sound shaped by organic textures and rhythmic detail. Heartbeat captures Azamiah's distinctive fusion of emotionally direct songwriting with expansive sonic experimentation. Being their first release on Edition Records, it marks a significant turning point in the band's career and artistic evolution.
