Description
Born in 1966 to a father from Martinique and a mother from Normandy, David JACOB began playing the trumpet at the age of 8 at the conservatoire in Le Havre.
A few years later, he continued his musical studies in Rouen, before joining the French Navy at the age of 17, where he worked as a radiotelegraphist and bugler.
In 1987, back in Normandy, he started to teach himself the bass and soon afterwards joined a dance band, but also played in various rock and rai groups and started playing jazz with musicians such as Mourad BENHAMMOU, Frederic SCHMIDELY, Marc GERMAIN, Pierre TOUQUET and other regional performers.
In 1996, Bernie BONVOISIN and Norbert KRIEF chose him to join the famous French rock band TRUST.
David JACOB also crossed paths with and accompanied artists such as Geoffrey ORYEMA, Ilene BARNES and Ladell MCLIN.
In 2018, he decided to resume his musical studies and joined the Conservatoire de Cergy Pontoise as a double bass player, both classical and jazz, with Charlotte TESTU and Yves TORCHINSKY as his teachers.
He worked tirelessly, and in 2023, after obtaining his school-leaving certificates, at the end of August produced several compositions that led him into the studio to record his first four tracks. He chose to work with two long-time friends with whom he had already worked on various projects: Hakim MOLINA on drums and Nicolas NOEL on piano.
