Description
Tom McFarland (1945-2004) played the blues ever since he fell in love with the sound in the sixties. You can hear years of nightclub dates in that voice and the way he fingerpicked the guitar. He certainly had a distinctive and personal style. This is a reissue of the late West-Coast native's first album (plus three bonus tracks), for the first time on CD. This moving blues album was composed and performed by this remarkably tasteful and subtle blues singer, guitarist and composer. Personnel: Tom McFarland (vocals, guitar), Steve Ehrmann (bass guitar), Bobby Broadhead (drums). Recorded: Sierra Sound Lab, Berkeley, California (1978).
Tracks: Travelin' With The Blues / You Can't Take It With You / Gasoline Blues / You're Killing Me / Going Back To Oakland / Street Walking Woman / Juicer's Blues / Blues Got Me / Blues Up And Gone / Telephone Blues / Midnight Train / Big Drought In California / Tom's Boogie (Explicit Lyrics). -
