Description
The Oliver Schnyder Trio plays two masterpieces of Czech chamber music: the Piano Trio opus 15, by Bedrich Smetana
and the famous Dumky Trio opus 90 by Antonin Dvorak.
The trio has chosen Bohemian Rhapsodies as the title of the
present album - a reference to the historical geographical origin of the two recorded works, but also a deliberate homage
to the legendary album by the British pop group Queen.
Musicologist Eva Gesine Bauer explains more about this in her
booklet text.
"I am increasingly impressed by Prospero's approach to its releases. Here is another polished product, with great artwork, colourful sleeve notes and top-notch recording quality. The trio seemingly feel every note in Smetana's grief-fulled G minor work, while the Dvorak really pops." - BBC Music Magazine (5 STARS)
