Description
This double album offers a great insight into the work of the composer Nicolaus A Huber: The works, all of which are presented here as world premiere recordings, were written between 1968 and 2019 – over a period of more than 50 years. They range from the purely electronic composition "AION" to piano, duo and ensemble music to "En face d'en face" for large orchestra and tape.
"I always think of listeners when I compose," says Huber, "I myself am my initial and recurring listener." From his brief introductions to the works in the booklet, Huber's extensive interest in, among other things, the visual arts, literature, natural science, philosophy – in short, man and society – can be discerned; his music reveals with what exuberant imagination he is able to transform these extra-musical influences into compositional processes.
