The Trail releases feature a series of live (bootleg) recordings captured over the years.' Trail Three' is the third in the bootleg series.
"Trail Two and Three merge already familiar LaFave originals with covers,
familiar and new. LaFave is the !nest Dylan vocal interpreter bar none, and Three leans heavily on the Minnesotan's back pages. From the historic Blood On The Tracks (1975), the disc opens with a chugging treatment of Meet Me In The Morning.
Bringing It All Back Home (1965) furnishes slow-burning readings of Love Minus Zero/No Limit and Mr. Tambourine Man. LaFave's reatment of the obscure Dusty Old Fairgrounds, which Dylan 1st aired April 1963 in New York Town Hall, opens gently and gathers pace as it unfolds. Both penned during the late 1960s, Three closes with a righteous eleven-minute plus segue of Robbie Robertson's classic The Weight and Bob's Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 -
