Description
This is the debut recording by saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock and pianist Liam Noble, during which they explore the common ground between spontaneous improvisations and song forms. Ingrid is featured throughout on soprano and this extended exposure allows us to languish in her very personal sound, at times sumptuous, at other times astringent, but always compelling. Liam Noble is the ideal foil, and also a superb soloist in his own right.
There are fascinating mood changes and with 50% of the tracks entirely improvised, this is a most original delight, housed in a super slim package, which takes up about half the space of a conventional digi-pack. -
