Description
More than 15 musicians have been members of 70s rockers Heart, but the band is, at its core, all about two sisters from the Pacific Northwest; Ann and Nancy Wilson. 1983 marked a successful shift to mainstream rock with the new album Passionworks which signalled a slicker, more radio-friendly version Heart.
This blistering performance at the Memorial Coliseum, Greenville, South Carolina on 18th November 1983, broadcast on WNEW-FM, sees Heart saluting their shift to the mainstream , but reminding everyone present, that with two new members (Mark Andes and Denny Carmassi) and two new hit singles (How Can I Refuse and Allies), Heart are as much a part of the great American songbook as any of the post-Woodstock, folk rock veterans.
