  • Description

The Fairports 5th album - "Full House" appeared in the summer of 1970 - the first without a female lead vocal - with the band touring America during this time to promote it. Here are three dates from that tour.

The new album is heavily featured in the set lists with the odd look back to the seminal "Liege & Lief" via Tam Lin and The Lark In The Morning and to the increasingly common rearranging of traditional English folk tunes. As the band moved more and more towards the repurposing of these folk standards Richard Thompson, still a member at this point, was becoming increasingly disillusioned as there was little room left for his original material. He would leave the band by the end of the year but he is here, on his last major tour with the band, in full voice and guitar!
