Description
On a cold day of spring in 1986 four young metal enthusiasts decided to found their own band. The name of this band, CONVICTORS, is self-created and was found fast. The musicians of young Convictors were inspired quite strongly by bands like Possessed, Napalm Death, Kreator, Destruction, Sodom, Slayer and Messiah. Since the first demo tape, 'The last Judgement', from 1986, the band won quite a handsome fan base. In 1988, already two years after foundation, the band laid away the instruments to enjoy the time as metal fans. 20 years later, in 2008, the old virtues were bethought. With a high level of energy and a new bass player the five song EP 'Abdication of Humanity' was released in 2009. After two changes in the line up, the album 'Envoys of Extinction' was released in 2014. This was followed by international gigs in several clubs and festivals. In 2018 the band went once more into the studio and recorded the album 'Atrocious Perdition', which was then distributed by Kernkraftritter Records worldwide. Some international concerts were played and a new drummer was found.
During the Covid-19 pandemic the band used the time to write new songs. The album, like all the ones before, was recorded in Iguana Studios by Christoph Brandes. The new album 'Tartaros', which means something like "underworld", will be released by Kernkraftritter Records.
The eight songs of the new album are residing in typical Death Metal with much aggression, fast blasts and catchy riff changes.
