Description
Another of Ben Crosland's suite of compositions with a spirit of place, this time inspired by the places, people and events in the Colne Valley in the Yorkshire Pennines. It brings legendary Brit-jazz saxophonist Alan Skidmore and leading trumpeter Steve Waterman together with trombone maestro Mark Nightingale as guests with Crosland's Quintet.
Canadian composer and arranger John Warren contributes two arrangements of Crosland's pieces. The album also features tracks by the Quintet alone. -
