Description
Going Through A Bad Patch is a new 4 song CD EP by cult musician The Legendary Len Liggins. It was conceived during a period of extreme stress, and recorded in a Norfolk barn. As well as three slightly unhinged tragic-comic tracks, the EP also features Len’s take on ‘Born Under A Bad Sign’, the classic song recorded by American blues singer and guitarist Albert King in 1967.
Len has played, toured and recorded with Leeds bands The SINISTER CLEANERS, The WEDDING PRESENT and The UKRAINIANS.
His first solo EP ‘A Remedy For Bad Nerves’ was much played by BBC Radio DJ JOHN PEEL and became an NME ‘Single of the Week’. His last EP, ‘Paint it Yellow’, recorded at home during Covid-19 lockdown, was played by BBC 6 Music’s Gideon Coe.
It was JOHN PEEL who originally dubbed Len ‘Legendary’ after hearing his performance in his first John Peel session with THE WEDDING PRESENT.
