Description
This is a new recording from Trio Eclipse - a highly original chamber music ensemble from Switzerland.
Their debut album for Prospero Classical features works by Gershwin, Nino Rota and contemporary jazz composers. The young musicians of the clarinet trio from Switzerland and Hungary met for the first time during their studies at the Music Academy in Basel. Their shared passion for chamber music led to the founding of the clarinet trio.
Featuring music from New York or Paris (George Gershwin: “An American in Paris”) we travel via Italy (Nino Rota, the brilliant musical illustrator of many films, for example by Federico Fellini, was born in Milan) to Berlin (Sean Hickey: 'Tiergarten').
The musical styles are as diverse as the destinations: colourful, virtuoso and always keen that a wink is included in the interpretation, and above all: that it “swings”…
