  • Description

Even though Andalusia is the home of the flamenco culture, its sources have many different influences such as arabian, sephardic/jewish and of course gypsy - you can even find indian and west-african elements in flamenco music! There are different sources about the origin of the word "flamenco" existing and it is still not sure where the word really comes from. Just as flamenco has been affected by many different styles, it also affected other cultures and left its marks.
This album presents these differents styles…including music from Los Desterrados, Oi Va Voi (featuring KT Tunstall), the Roma group !DelaDap & Algerian-born Souad Massi combines her arabian roots with the melancholy and passion of the flamenco.
Tracks: Feeling Good - Agua Loca / The Moment – Vargo / Spain E Blaka - !DelaDap / Pandajero - Cantoma / Un Mensaje - Madrid De Los Austrias / Flamenco Al Arabia - Zeb / Moonrise - Nitin Sawhney / Ladino Song - Oi Va Voi / Ghir Enta - Souad Massi / Tres Klavinas En Un Tiesto (Minnush) - Los Desterrados / Los Canos De Meca - Madrid De Los Austrias / Guitar Ahoy - Up, Bustle & Out (feat.
