COMPILATION of 11 tracks from Joe Ely's two Hightone albums (see below) plus his version of Merle Haggard's "White Line Fever" and a bonus film of him performing "My Baby Thinks She's French". After Ely's first flush of success in the 1970s and early '80s he was without a contract for four years until his highly rated Hightone albums helped to bring him back to prominence, particularly with a new generation of 'Americana' fans and performers. This is a strong roundup of recordings from a hot period in his career, at less than full-price.
