Splendid solo album recorded live in Durban in 1987 during a rare visit home to South Africa by the acclaimed composer and pianist Chris McGregor.
Chris McGregor (1936 - 1990) was one of the great South African jazz musicians to emerge during the early 1960s. His work with the Blue Notes, the Brotherhood of Breath and in innumerable short-lived ensembles and a s a composer is only now beginning to receive the attention it deserves.
Following the widely acclaimed series of archive reissues of his work, Fledg'ling are truly proud to add this remarkable, previously unreleased solo recording to the catalogue.
