Description
Internationally renowned clarinettist Nancy Braithwaite has performed across the USA, Europe, and China. Her chamber repertoire spans more than 400 works, and she has appeared as soloist with professional orchestras in concertos by Mozart, Nielsen, Weber, and Rossini. She is joined by various other artists, including Claron McFadden, a soprano and performer acclaimed in both baroque and contemporary music and Ernst Munnaker. Nancy met composers Carlos Michans and Edith Hemenway when she was in America, and presents a selection of their music. She says of this recording: "This CD reflects my commitment to performing works by living composers and my personal connection to these five remarkable composers from the USA and The Netherlands-my two nationalities. It is inspired by my desire to share their extraordinary works with a broader audience."
