This album is built around one clear thread: three great composers, each of whom created a deeply personal musical world. They are all masters of their craft, yet the works you will hear are remarkably diverse. Rachmaninov takes you from intimate, moving moments to big climaxes. Saint-Saens demands virtuosity and refinement, while Shostakovich surprises with sharp rhythms, humour, and distinctive colours. Sisters Chloe and Camille Beniest started playing piano under the tutelage of their mother from a very young age. They all went on tour across Flanders and both sisters have found success at various piano competitions. Chloe is also an actor and is currently appearing in the popular Belgian soap opera 'Thuis' while her older sister at the age of nine appeared on Andrew Lloyd Webber's show 'The Voice Kid' where she qualified in the top twelve. She went on to release a single on Universal Music. Known as the C-Sisters, during the COVID period, the idea arose to form a piano duo together and since then they have participated in various international competitions. Among other achievements, they won the Piano Duo Festival Competition in Amsterdam, the Concours International de Piano de Brest (France), the International Appassionata Competition in Namur and the Concorso Pianistico "Recondite Armonie" in Grosseto (Italy). They also twice earned second prize at the Prinses Christina Competition.
