Description
Carbon Tomb are a new band playing dissonant death metal exuding raw, visceral energy and possessing far more expressive range than most bands in this style. The songs are highly structured and coherent, emphasizing the right moments, and are also comparatively more varied than normal. Without contradicting the sound, they even infuse black metal elements into some songs on this album, rendering it diverse and interesting. For a debut album, their songwriting shines, a result of the members' experience - one is in Dysgnostic and others are in undisclosed Danish bands. As an interpretation of a style generally considered complex or inscrutable, "Passage to a Neutron Star" is surprisingly fluid, entertaining, and memorable.
