Description
Blowzabella approached the playing of English traditional dance music with new ears and newly unearthed (initially self-built) instruments. No chording guitars, no jaunty violins, but varieties of wind, percussion, and drone instruments and a penchant for Flemish, Balkan, and French tunes and soundworlds. The collaboration that produced Tam Lin was early, unsettled, and unsettling, a risky venture, but nevertheless went on to create a great piece of music.
Originally released on vinyl by Plant Life Records in 1984, the record got a new lease of life when it was digitised and made available on all major DSP's.
Now, for the first time ever, in the continuation of Blowzabella re-releases, Tam Lin has been recreated in a beautiful deluxe digifile sleeve for CD. The audio remastered at Woodbine Street Studios by John Rivers and the original vinyl sleeve artwork carefully cleaned and reworked.
