Description
"Human Rights Now!" - the second all-stars charity concert tour organized by the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights organization Amnesty International, was staged to draw attention to the fortieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights.
This concert was one of the final stops of the "Human Rights Now!" tour and headliners Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman and Youssou N'Dour had been all over the planet by the time the concert took place in the legendary River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires on the 15th October 1988.
This 2CD Digipak Edition features once-in-a-lifetime performances such as "Born In The U.S.A" by Springsteen, Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer", "Don't Stand So Close To Me" by Sting and the evening's highlight as all performers gathered on stage for a moving rendition of Bob Dylan's "Chimes Of Freedom" and Bob Marley's "Get Up, Stand Up".
