Recording locations include the campfire in his own front yard; his previous home in Joshua Tree, CA; a mountain cabin in Idyllwild, CA; the Travelodge in Yucca Valley, CA; and at Elliott Smith's old "Basement On A Hill" studio in the San Fernando Valley.
