Formed in 1999 by founder and chief songwriter Bruce Soord, The Pineapple Thief have continued to evolve and refine their sound ever since and they're seen by many as one of the most interesting and innovative rock bands the UK have produced in recent years.

Albums like 'Someone Here Is Missing' (2010) ('extremely classy and frequently mesmerising' Classic Rock); 'Show A Little Love' EP ('it is here that the real magic of a band like TPT shines through' Classic Rock Prog) and 'All The Wars' (2012) have made their reputation and fan base stronger, starting to gather interest from a wider spectrum of alternative rock followers only enhanced with the release in 2014 of their new album 'Magnolia' which was described by The Guardian as "The perfect blend of brains, brawn, beauty and exquisite songwriting... a modern rock masterpiece." Bruce Soord also collaborates with other Kscope artists, joining forces with Katatonia's Jonas Renske on the 2013 'Wisdom Of Crowds' project and joining Katatonia on their 'Dethroned & Uncrowned' Unplugged acoustic European tour.

While the earlier releases along with Tightly Unwound, were many people's introduction to the band, they had actually spent the previous ten years quietly building up a dedicated fan base across the globe, selling over 25,000 records and nurturing their 'bittersweet' progressive sound. This 2016 version being released as a 2CD set presented as a digipak was originally released in association with the Kscope 5th anniversary and had been re-mastered and remixed by 360 in London and featured a bonus disc with tracks from the 'Dawn Raids' EPs plus and acoustic version of 'Shoot First'.

NEWLY REMASTERED DOUBLE VINYL EDITION OF TPT's 1ST ALBUM ON KSCOPE

The Pineapple Thief reissue their first Kscope album, 'Tightly Unwound' newly remastered by Steve Kitch at Audiomaster, following their recent success with two studio albums featuring King Crimson drummer Gavin Harrison. August 2018's 'Dissolution' saw the band reach #1 in the UK Rock & Metal chart, #36 in the UK album chart, #22 in Germany, #4 in Platomania Netherlands and #14 in Finland's physical chart, and took them on two headline European tours including their biggest ever booking at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire. 'Your Wilderness', released in Summer 2016, achieved something of a breakthrough for the band before 'Dissolution', producing 4m+ album streams, a #7 in the UK Independent Charts and two extensive headline European tours culminating at London's Islington Assembly Hall where the concert was recorded for the live release 'Where We Stood'.

'Tightly Unwound', one of the first albums on the record label, is being reissued as part of Kscope's 10th-anniversary celebrations. It is a double vinyl set presented in gatefold packaging and precedes the band's second European tour in support of 'Dissolution' beginning on 21st February and ending on 24th March.
