When the TEMPERANCE SEVEN appeared on the Arthur Haynes Show on the old BBC Light programme in Autumn 1962, they had already notched up two unexpected hits in the best-seller charts the previous year and appeared in a Royal Variety Performance. What had started out as a part-time ensemble playing outmoded hot dance music from the 20's, to their surprise, turned into a polished professional outfit in demand on TV, radio and on stage.These 24 tracks are from those great sessions and feature 'Temps' favourites such as The Mooche, Ukelele Lady, East St. Louis Toodle-oo and Home In Pasadena. -
