STEVEN WILSON & MIKAEL AKERFELDT'S EPONYMOUS 'STORM CORROSION' ALBUM

    REMASTERED & REISSUED ON KSCOPE

AVAILABLE AS DIGIPACK CD WITH 8-PAGE BOOKLET

Steven Wilson's "Porcupine Tree" & Mikael Akerfeldt's "Opeth" have been two of the most influential & revered bands of the past 30 years. Responsible for inspiring an entire generation of songwriters & musicians, between them Wilson & Akerfeldt redefined the prog-metal genre, chiefly with Opeth's 2001 magnum opus 'Blackwater Park' & Porcupine Tree's 2002 classic 'In Absentia'. Close collaborators across multiple projects (Steven Wilson produced that same 'Blackwater Park', Porcupine Tree albums often feature guitar/vocals from Akerfeldt) & with a shared passion for orchestral, ambient music, Wilson & Akerfeldt have created some of rock, metal & prog's finest work in recent years.

Amongst that list is the duo's 2012 eponymous debut 'Storm Corrosion'. A passion project recorded at Wilson's No Man's Land studio in North London, 'Storm Corrosion' served as a vehicle for the pair to explore their shared love of the experimental, obscure music that they might not otherwise get the chance to as part of their main outfits.

    "an unequivocal triumph" ? ? ? ? THE GUARDIAN

Over Storm Corrosion's 6-track, 45-minute odyssey, listeners are taken through a beautifully sparse, contemplative universe. Akerfeldt's deft guitar work embellishes Wilson's emotive vocals, the masterful compositions bolstered by the occasional percussion of fellow Porcupine Tree member Gavin Harrison, atmospheric woodwind from esteemed British jazz player Ben Castle & strings from the Dave Stewart-conducted London Session Orchestra.

Since the release of 'Storm Corrosion' in 2012, both Wilson & Akerfeldt have gone onto reach new heights. Subsequent Porcupine Tree & solo releases for Wilson alongside an extensive list of production, engineering & Dolby Atmos projects with the likes of Guns N' Roses, Jethro Tull & Rush have confirmed him as one of music's most prolific & sought after names. Similarly, Akerfeldt sits amongst the highest cohorts of metal royalty. His work with Opeth, Katatonia & Bloodbath alongside appearances on Candlemass, Dream Theater & Ghost records, to name a few, have been instrumental in shaping modern metal.

This edition of 'Storm Corrosion' is presented as a digipack CD & includes an 8-page printed booklet, plus a bonus track live recording of 'Drag Ropes' from The Royal Albert Hall in 2015.
