For years, we've often been asked whether we had a Christmas repertoire, and when the time came to plan our third album, we knew it was finally time to make a Christmas record. The music and spirit of the holiday season are deeply rooted in us, bringing back memories of growing up singing in choirs and preparing for the winter concerts, long before the first snow ever touched the ground. When our longtime collaborator, pianist and arranger Mikael Skoglund heard about the idea, he brought us something very special: a fully shaped concept, complete with a set list that felt like a Christmas concert we'd all love to attend. His selection mixed beloved classics with songs less familiar, and it quickly became the backbone of the album. Almost every piece from the original idea was kept and Gunilla and Anton contributed with an arrangement, adding yet another colour to the musical landscape of the album. To our great joy, Bohuslan Big Band joined in as well. Their massive sound and creative spirit brought the music warmth and energy that lifted it even further. We are proud of the result and hope this album will carry some of that joy and inspiration into your own holiday season. Merry Christmas!
