Description
The album is the second part of a cycle presenting forgotten Polish miniatures for violin and piano. The repertoire of the album consists of six romances (Aleksander Zarzycki, Adam Andrzejowski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Henryk Wieniawski, Aleksander Tansman, Karol Szymanowski) and five songs (Paderewski, Wieniawski, Noskowski and Szymanowski), which are connected by deep expression and a great emotional charge, although at the same time in each of these miniatures one can hear the individual idiom of the creative expression of the individual authors. The complement is provided by humorous burlesques (Andrzejowski, Artur Malawski and Romuald Twardowski), creating space for virtuoso displays of the musicians.
The originator of the cycle, the renowned violinist Slawomir Tomasik, invited excellent pianists to collaborate: Robert Morawski and Krzysztof Stanienda.
