Ryan Sheridan comes from County Monaghan in the north-east of the Republic of Ireland, where he learned to play the violin at the tender age of seven. He played traditional Irish music for several years before settling in New York City for a few years and discovering....rock! After playing in several bands and running a live club, Ryan finally decided to return home, bring his own songs to the streets of Dublin and become a busker. A few years later, Ryan released his first album, which went straight to No. 1 in the Irish charts, as did the follow-up album. Ryan toured Europe, was a special guest with Paul Simon, Brian Adams, Taylor Swift, Simply Red, The Script and Rea Garvey and performed at then US President Barack Obama's official state visit. In 2023 Ryan Sheridan was invited to the 20th anniversary of the WDR Rockpalast Crossroads Festival. The accompanying live album Live at Rockpalast Crossroads Festival 2023 contains the best old and brand new songs from his successful career.
