One of the Ruhr Piano Festival’s firmest commitments is to provide a podium to young, promising talents in particular. That is why we
invite a great number of young pianists to perform in each edition of the Festival – for instance, in our series “Die Besten der Besten”. Even
so, we want to think further by offering these young musicians long-term support: for example, we can make a decisive contribution to
their careers by featuring them in our CD series Edition Klavier-Festival Ruhr. This is the eighth year in a row that we are presenting a
florilegium of concert recordings we find particularly impressive. The pianists presented here are certainly among the most interesting of
their generation; several of them have won famous international competitions. In these CDs you will encounter four thoroughly different
performance styles, gathered in an exciting overview of the current young, international generation of pianists’ incredible high standards
