  • Description

MORK’S 2013 DEBUT STUDIO ALBUM OF NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL MISANTHROPY, INCLUDING BONUS TRACK.

Mork was created by Thomas Eriksen in 2004 & was primarily a side-project from inception until the debut album in 2013, & since then the band has rightly earned their accolade as one of the top Norwegian black metal acts of recent years, receiving strong endorsements from their peers, cemented with the release of third album ‘Eremittens Dal’ on Peaceville in 2017, featuring guests from Dimmu Borgir & 1349.

‘Isebakke’ was the debut studio album from Mork, originally released in 2013. Harking back to the glory days of black metal while establishing an atmosphere of its own, ‘Isebakke’ was a masterclass in deep dark cold riffing and vintage black metal execution, plus included a cover of Onslaught’s thrash classic ‘Power From Hell’.

This new edition of ‘Isebakke’ includes a bonus track in the form of a cover version of the hypnotic Burzum track ‘Valen’. The booklet includes lyrics to the tracks for the first time.

Though Mork is essentially a solo-project, a full live line-up has been established, where the band has already played throughout Europe and parts of North America, plus famously a recent show in Izmir, Turkey, following in the footsteps of the legendary Mayhem.

"Many have tried, many have failed. Mork nails it" Nocturno Culto (Darkthrone)

    Description

ANNIVERSARY PRESSING OF MORK'S DEBUT STUDIO ALBUM OF NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL MISANTHROPY. PRESENTED ON LIMITED TRANSPARENT BLUE VINYL.

Mork was created by Thomas Eriksen in 2004 & was primarily a side-project from inception until the debut album surfaced in 2013, & since then the band has rightly earned the accolade as one of the top Norwegian black metal acts of recent years. Mork has received strong endorsements from its peers, cemented with the release of third album 'Eremittens Dal' on Peaceville in 2017, featuring guests from Dimmu Borgir & 1349 & leading to a string of subsequent high-calibre releases culminating in the most recent magnum-opus for the band, in the shape of 2024's 'Syv'.

'Isebakke' was the debut studio album from Mork, originally released in 2013. The compositions were notably harking back to the glory days of black metal while establishing an atmosphere of their own, resulting in 'Isebakke' becoming a masterclass in deep dark cold riffing & vintage black metal execution, which also included a cover of Onslaught's thrash classic 'Power From Hell'.

Though Mork is essentially a solo-project, the band is active with a full live line-up & a string of tours & festivals internationally under its belt.

"Many have tried, many have failed. Mork nails it" Nocturno Culto (Darkthrone)

This anniversary edition of 'Isebakke' is presented on limited transparent blue vinyl, including new liner notes & rare photos courtesy of Thomas Eriksen, plus lyrics.
