Legendary pianist and composer Michael Garrick led his all-star orchestra in performances of 10 of his own compositions, on this 2006 album. Featuring the voice of vocalist Norma Winstone on 5 of the tracks. In honour of Stan Tracey's 80th birthday, the album is completed with Garrick's arrangement of the Stan Tracey composition "Starless and Bible Black", taken from the classic Tracey album, 'Under Milk Wood'.
