Megan began writing songs in her early teens and by 19 she won the 2009 BBC Young Folk Award for her poignant song about relationship/abuse "White Lies", which featured on her 2011 debut album "Making Waves".
"Making Waves" established Megan as a songwriter rooted in folk but by no means bound by it. Three tracks from the album went on to be playlisted at Radio 2 and she became a regular on the festival circuit.
Her follow up album "Head Heart Hand" in 2015 was an even more accomplished affair and was widely critically acclaimed. She has subsequently performed on all the specialist music shows including Bob Harris and the Mark Radcliffe Folk Show, where her music is regularly featured. One of her songs soundtracked the 2016 BBC Folk Awards promo which ran across the BBC channels for three months.
Cut to mid-2016 and a 5-track EP with folk evergreen Jackie Oates supported by 'duo' dates across the country during August and September.
In November and December2016 Megan embarked on her biggest tour yet - a 22 date national theatre tour supporting alt-folk legends 'Show Of Hands' which won her a new legion of fans.
Her third album "River" was released in October ahead of her first solo headline tour of the UK and was reviewed enthusiastically across the press with 4- and 5-star reviews everywhere.
