  • Description

Maureen O'Hara was perhaps best known for her acting career where she often starred in westerns and action films alongside acting greats such as John Wayne. During a two year hiatus from acting O'Hara concentrated on her singing voice and recorded just two LPs, 'Sings Her Favorite Irish Songs' and 'Love Letters', both of which are featured here. As the original album titles indicate the first 16 tracks are devoted to folk songs of her native Ireland with versions of "A Kerry Cow" and "Danny Boy" whilst tracks 17 to 28 is devoted to her personal choices from the Great American Songbook. This set also features two bonus tracks from the original Broadway musical "Christine". Includes fully detailed liner notes.
