Description
Welcome to 'Where The Heart Roams' - my debut album as both soprano and composer. At its centre lies a question that has quietly shaped my life and work: what does "home" truly mean? Born and raised in Wigan, and formed musically in Manchester and beyond, I have often felt the gentle tension between rootedness and movement. The life of an artist can appear nomadic - defined by travel, opportunity, reinvention. Yet beneath that movement lies something constant: the landscapes, people, and memories that anchor us. This programme leans into northern identity, pastoral reflection, and the quiet significance of ordinary moments. It speaks of belonging, returning, remembering, and recognising that beauty often resides not in grand gestures, but in shared laughter, open fields, evening light, and stillness. Wherever life leads, the heart continues to roam - but it also remembers where it comes from.
