'Obituaries' tells the story of love, lost & found and betrayal; it is an exploration of a desolate time. Yet within the intensity is much joy and humour too. Take 'Warm the Wind' a heartfelt declaration, a pleading love letter of sexual frustration, at once touching and hilarious. Obituaries, is a haunting mantra of a man's obsession with death and legacy and shows the new band at their noisiest and most intense. Visions explores similar themes from a more personal, reflective perspective; a delicately textured and rhythmically remarkable epic.
LAISH's music has attracted radio play from the likes of Marc Riley, two headline tours of intimate venues in the UK, a tour of Germany, a triumphant mainstage performance at the first No Direction Home Festival and guest appearances with the likes of Grizzly Bear, The Leisure Society and Peggy Sue. -
