La Banda Di Piazza Caricamento, the multi-ethnic group based in Genoa, continues its project of encounters between cultures and ethnicities from around the world. The music is focused on the interaction and collaboration between the various members of the group as they explore the sounds of Africa and Asia.
With strong social content the ensemble combines different musical styles, picking up the youthful energy of second generation immigrants, the language of their traditions together with contemporary speech and urban rhythms. Tracks include a cover of "Rock the Casbah", the legendary song by The Clash and "Ninna nanna per Yanuska" sung by extraordinary vocalist Antonella Ruggiero.
