Description
Volume 3 of Fritz Kreisler?s Bell Telephone Hour Recordings consists of the violinist?s original transcriptions and compositions. The non-Kreisler works are all by Viennese composers; besides Haydn and Mozart, there are two operetta numbers by Johannes Nepomuk Christoph Brandl and Richard Heuberger. All of these inimitable performances are released for the first time, and many of the pieces were never commercially recorded with the luscious orchestral accompaniment (including a prominent harp part) heard on these recordings. One of the works, Kreisler?s Malague?a (not his transcription of Albeniz), receives its first-ever release.
