Description
The seventh album from leading world music ensemble Kardes Türküler. The band has enjoyed cult status in Turkey for some time now and their international reputation is set to grow further with the release of this outstanding and emotional musical work.
The group was formed in Turkey in 1993 and with the aim of performing interpretations of Anatolian folksongs in Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish, Assyrian, Azerbaijani, Georgian and Armenian. Eventually, the musical heritage of the Laz, Georgian, Circassian, Romani, Macedonian and Alevi cultures were all incorporated into the program. At times there are twenty-five musicians and dancers who have meanwhile joined the group, representing all areas and cultures in Anatolia. -
