Description
Jerry The Ferret was a criminally overlooked band from the 70's that straddled the Pub Rock and Americana scene in the UK. Formed from the ashes of cult 60's psych rockers Ipsissimus, Jerry the Ferret were a great draw on the pub rock circuit, but despite their popularity and extensive recording sessions, they only released one single and an EP before going their separate ways. That single, One Step Forward, was championed BBC Radio 1 at the time.
Their strength may have also been the reason for not gaining the adulation their music merited. Jerry The Ferret had 3 main singer songwriters in Steve Oliver, Tony Sales and Terry Horgan, which brought a breadth of quality songs and recordings. Unlike most bands though, there was not just one lead singer to act as a focal point for the media, industry and fans. Fast forward 45 years and every one of those studio sessions has now been mixed, mastered and presented in this deluxe, 22 song set. Only six of these tracks has ever seen a commercial release, and that battered vinyl is changing hands for significant sums.
