The resulting project blends raw, energetic psych-rock with sonic healing and displays the versatility of the band.
‘Like a few songs from the album, it’s about growing older,” explain Jadu Heart (AKA Alex Headford and Diva Jeffrey). “When we met, we would spend a lot of time locked away with the common symptoms of a confused teenager going through an existential crisis. We’ve calmed down a lot now.” The record is largely based on the interplay between calm and chaos. Sitting on the calmer side of the album, 'Walk The Line' has pared-back beat and bass provide a perfect canvas for Jeffrey’s airy vocals, similarly with tracks like 'Caroline' and 'Day By Day'. Contrastingly 'Suddenly I Know Who You Are' and 'Dead, Again' are built around grungey guitar riffs that display the more chaotic side of the album.
