'Shreds' documents the world of an ordinary adult man disaffected and damaged from his life in the modern world. The 21st century urban wolves always at the door. Ian Reynolds lyrics are achingly powerful as they reveal the beauty in an often stark and fragmented world, to give a picture of a man who is down, but not out.

Reynolds first picked up the guitar at 12 whereupon he taught himself to play his own songs. At 19 he was signed to EMI Publishing. After a close family tragedy Ian left the UK and toured Norway as a jobbing musician. Three years later he was back in the UK and to provide for his new family, music took a back seat. By the age of 50 music began to re-emerge as his overriding passion and talent. At the regular Monday Irish session in Middleton musician and friend John Ellis alerted the legendary Bill Leader to the quality of his songs. They persuaded Ian into the studio to record what would become 'Shreds', released on Limefield Records 2012.
